How-To: Configure the Engineering Investment Report

To ensure an accurate overview of all tasks, it's essential to categorize them correctly into the appropriate categories. By default, DevStats assigns tasks to the following labels in the Engineering Investment report.

  • New Things: Feature
  • Improve Things: Enhancement
  • Keep The Lights On (KTLO): Bug Hotfix QA
  • Productivity: Chore Technical Debt

Step 1: Categorize Issue Types

  • How: If you receive a warning about uncategorized issue types, click on one of the dropdown menus to view the labels that need categorization. If a label is appropriate for that category, simply click on it to assign it to the correct category.

Once all labels have been categorized, the warning message will disappear.
