AI Activity for GitHub Copilot, Claude & Cursor
Copilot, Claude, and Cursor each get a dedicated report this month. You can now see who's using each tool and how much of what it writes actually gets kept.
- GitHub Copilot Activity. A full report on Copilot adoption and impact: active users, acceptance rate, AI lines of code, agent contribution, and adoption cohorts, broken down by language, model, IDE, and chat mode, plus Copilot CLI usage, the PRs Copilot opens and merges, the reviews it leaves and the suggestions teams apply, median time to merge for Copilot-authored and Copilot-reviewed PRs, and a new GitHub AI Activity tool in the DevStats MCP server.
- Claude Activity. A new report for Claude Console and Claude Enterprise: sessions, AI lines added, tool acceptance rate, commits and PRs by Claude Code, chat messages and Cowork sessions, plus models, terminals, tokens, and adoption by product.
- Cursor Activity. A new report covering adoption (licensed vs. active vs. inactive), suggestion and tab acceptance, AI lines accepted, requests by mode, and Bugbot, with agent edits, ecosystem adoption, AI code in your codebase, and conversation insights on Cursor Enterprise.
- Initiatives on ClickUp. Initiatives now run on ClickUp epics, with a new forecast strategy, better filters, and Delivered On Target / Delivered Late views.
Free Benchmark Plan, Guided Onboarding & New Squad Creation Flow
DevStats now has a free forever plan. The new guided onboarding walks a team from its first connected tool to its first benchmark.
- Free Benchmark plan. A free forever tier with your team's benchmark report; expired trials now land here instead of losing access.
- Guided onboarding. Connect and authorize your tools step by step via OAuth, personal access token, or fine-grained token, select repositories and projects, and run your first benchmark across GitHub, GitLab, GitLab Self-Managed, Bitbucket, Bitbucket Data Center, Azure Repos, Azure Boards, Jira Cloud, Jira Data Center, Linear, ClickUp, and GitHub Projects.
- Add Integration screen. A dedicated flow to connect a new tool from anywhere in the app.
- New squad creation flow. Create a squad with its repositories and projects in a single drawer, including import more flows for both.
- Settings for the Benchmark plan. Access management, timezone, security, deploys, incidents, git rules, issue tracker rules, merge players, innovation investment, repositories, and projects.
AI Initiative Forecasting, Platform-Wide Speed & Security Hardening
Initiative forecasting now runs on AI: you get a predicted finish date against your target, not just an on-track flag. Fourteen reports also load faster.
- AI initiative forecasting. Predict when an initiative will actually land, with a predicted finish vs. target chart, epic linking, background processing, run logs, and unified on-track / off-track status.
- Faster reports across the platform. Throughput, Sprints, Daily WIP, Deploy, Productivity, Activity Heatmap, Work Breakdown, Investment Profile, Engineering Investment, Collaboration, Code Review, Issue Cycle Time, PR Cycle Time, and Deployment Frequency all load significantly faster.
- Security hardening. A full round of security fixes and dependency upgrades across the platform.
- Datadog improvements. New regions (AP2, US1-FED, US2-FED), webhook idempotency, squad-to-team mapping, a "Connected to Datadog" badge, and orphaned incident cleanup.
- MCP tools. Change Failure Rate added to the DORA Metrics tool, plus fixes to Investment Profile, Throughput, and date range handling.
AI Reports, Notification Channels, Datadog Integration & PR Rollback Detection
Your reports can now come to you. AI Reports run on a schedule and land in Slack, Teams, Discord, or email.
- AI Reports. Schedule AI-generated engineering reports daily, weekly, or monthly, with custom prompt templates, test runs, and full run history.
- Notification channels. Connect Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, and email via OAuth, pick which channels receive each report, and disconnect at any time.
- Datadog integration. Pull incidents from Datadog with a guided setup wizard, service and team mapping, and scheduled sync.
- PR rollback detection. Revert pull requests are now automatically flagged as incidents across GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Azure Repos, feeding Change Failure Rate and Mean Time to Recovery.
- AI Credits. Usage card, plan cards, purchase history, and cost tracking for AI Chat.
incident.io Integration & Engineering Investment AI Agent
Connect incident.io and your incident data flows into the reports you already use. A new AI agent also sorts engineering work into investment categories for you.
- incident.io integration. Connect incident.io to pull incident data straight into DevStats, with squad association and workspace scoping.
- Engineering Investment AI Agent. A dedicated AI agent that automatically classifies engineering work into investment categories, with an AI-mode toggle on the Engineering Investment report.
- MCP tools expansion. New Branch List tool, history on the Issue List tool, and stronger guardrails so the assistant won't hallucinate when a metric or tool isn't available.
- AI Chat polish. Refreshed chat UI, better prompts, clarification follow-ups, and fixes to chat history.
- Linear refresh tokens. Linear integration migrated to refresh tokens for more reliable long-lived connections.
AI Chat, Windsurf Integration, Code Quality Webhooks & Integration Setup Overhaul
AI Chat ships this month: ask about your engineering data in plain language and get an answer without opening a report. SonarQube also moved from polling to webhooks, so code quality updates arrive in real time.
- AI Chat V1. A floating AI chat built into the platform; ask questions about your engineering data, navigate reports, and get insights using natural language.
- Windsurf integration. Connect Windsurf to track AI-assisted coding activity at the squad level alongside GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
- MCP enhancements. Squad-scoped access, custom MCP client support, new PR List and Issue List tools, and tool usage tracking.
- SonarQube webhooks. SonarQube now pushes metric updates to DevStats in real time via webhooks, replacing the polling approach.
- Incident management improvements. Severity levels, root cause tracking, search by incident name, unified sidebar form, and a refreshed incidents API.
- Integration setup overhaul. Connecting a new integration now syncs repositories in the background with a live progress indicator, across GitHub, GitLab, GitLab SM, Bitbucket, Bitbucket DC, Azure Repos, Azure Boards, Jira Cloud, Jira DC, Linear, and ClickUp.
- Repositories overhaul. New Pending Review tab to approve newly discovered repositories, an Ignored tab, and a banner prompting action when new repos are detected.
- Workboard integration. Send DevStats metrics to Workboard automatically on a schedule, with multi-metric support.
- Player page. Commits and comments count now visible on the player profile.
MCP Server, SonarQube Integration, Multiple GitHub Tokens & Benchmark Drill-Downs
The DevStats MCP server is live. Point Claude, Cursor, or Copilot at your engineering data and query it in plain language, no dashboard involved.
